About

I’m Megan San Andrés, a fashion photographer born and raised on a little island in the Mediterranean Sea called Ibiza. With a Spanish father and an English mother, I grew up floating between two cultures, which shaped the way I see the world: layered, fluid, and deeply visual.

I first discovered photography when I was 14, developing film in a darkroom and falling in love with the tactile magic of the process. But it wasn’t until my university years, while studying Fine Art at Leeds Arts University, that I reconnected with the medium. While I initially worked as a painter, exploring themes like feminism, Carthaginian mythology, sexuality, and the dynamics of the male vs. female gaze, I began using photography as another way to express my visual language.

When the pandemic hit, it marked a turning point. I leaned fully into photography, and more specifically fashion photography, as a new form of storytelling. I began reaching out to small brands, offering to collaborate. They would send me their clothes, jewellery, and pieces, and I’d gather with friends to bring these creative visions to life. Styling, shooting, directing — we did it all ourselves. Those intimate, DIY shoots taught me how to create with feeling, freedom, and intention.

My work today blends softness with strength, memory with movement. Themes of femininity, innocence, nature, and womanhood are constant threads. I often shoot on 35mm film, drawn to its raw beauty and timeless texture. Whether capturing natural light outdoors or bringing organic elements into the studio, I aim to create imagery that feels intimate, romantic, and a little dreamlike.

My photography has been published in L’OfficielNeo2Ibiza Style Magazine… and I’ve collaborated with magazines such as Woman Madame Figaro. Now based in Spain, I continue to explore how my roots, both natural and cultural, can live within my visual world.
